Why Your Child Struggles to Read?
Your child is smart, capable, and
full of potential. So why does reading sometimes
feel so difficult?
Maybe you’ve watched your child struggle with words that seem
simple, or maybe reading homework ends in frustration, tears,
or another argument. Or perhaps their teacher has mentioned they’re
falling behind, and you’re
worried about what that means for their future.
As a parent, it’s difficult to watch your child struggle,
especially when you’re doing everything you can to help.
Here’s something important:
Struggling with reading doesn’t mean your child isn’t intelligent or capable
of becoming a successful reader. Sometimes children need stronger
foundations, a different approach, or more support.
That’s where Read Like Rocky can help.
Let’s discover what may be holding them back.
Below are common reading challenges. If one or more sounds familiar,
choose the topic that best matches what you’re seeing. Each card links
to FAQs with helpful next steps.

Build Foundational Reading Skills
Phonics, vocabulary & fluency
Step-by-step lessons help your child learn letter sounds, blend words, and read with greater accuracy and fluency. Structured practice builds the foundation they need for long-term reading success.
Your child will learn to make sense of what they read, answer questions, retell stories, and think more deeply about texts. Reading becomes meaningful, not just memorizing words on a page.
With the right support and encouragement, your child can overcome frustration, build confidence, and start to see themselves as a reader. Small wins lead to big progress—and a lifelong love of reading.
Get easy-to-follow guides, practical tips, and support from experienced educators. Connect with other parents, join live Q&A sessions, and be part of a community that understands and cheers you on.
